Carnival Corporation Named One of the World’s Best Companies by TIME

In a press release sent out today, Carnival Corporation announced it was named one of the World’s Best Companies of 2024 by TIME, a leading source of news worldwide. Of the top 1,000 companies honored, Carnival Corporation ranked in the top 100 overall and first among cruise companies.

Presented by TIME and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, the World’s Best Companies list was determined through a comprehensive analysis based on three primary focus areas. Only companies that generated at least $100 million of revenue in 2023 were considered and evaluated based on above-average employee satisfaction surveys; positive revenue growth in the last three years; and sustainable performance through environmental protection, social responsibility and corporate governance (ESG). Scores from all three areas were added on an equal percentage basis to form the final ranking of the top 1,000 companies in the world, which can be viewed on TIME.com.

“At Carnival Corporation, we prioritize a positive company culture where team members from all walks of life can succeed, while remaining focused on driving initiatives that will help our business grow in a sustainable way,” said Bettina Deynes, global chief human resources officer for Carnival Corporation. “As the world’s largest cruise company, our operations and team members are global, so we are honored to be recognized on TIME’s listing of the top companies changing the world.”

This recognition as one of the best companies in the world builds a series of honors that Carnival Corporation has earned for its companywide operations and commitment to employment excellence, diversity, equity and inclusion, and sustainability. Among the numerous awards and recognitions, the company was named by Forbes as one of the World’s Best Employers for 2023 and earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index, designating the company as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality for the seventh consecutive year.

This recognition underscores Carnival Corporation’s commitment to leading the way in sustainable cruising, delivering strong shareholder value and fostering a positive environment for all team members. The company’s success is a direct result of its over 160,000 team members who are at the heart of delivering unforgettable happiness to millions of guests by providing extraordinary cruise vacations, while honoring the integrity of every ocean sailed, place visited and life touched.
