According to a press release issued on May 2nd, MSC Cruises announced a comprehensive range of summer 2024 and winter 2024-2025 sailings to the Caribbean, providing guests an incredible choice of ships and enriching itineraries to some of the most coveted destinations in the region including The Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Martinique, Mexico and more.
The Caribbean is a popular destination any time of year, renowned for its incredible white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, magnificent landscapes, and charming coastal cities, filled with rich culture and historical sites. Whether guests are looking for the ultimate summer getaway or a break from winter temperatures, these varied itineraries offer truly unique experiences to suit any type of traveler.
While on board, guests can indulge in a plethora of unforgettable onboard experiences including international dining, world-class entertainment, award-winning activities for families, luxurious spa and fitness centers, and stylish accommodations. Ashore, guests can explore each destination to the fullest thanks to MSC Cruises’ expansive range of excursions and many late evening stays in port, along with overnight calls at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the cruise line’s gorgeous private island in The Bahamas.
SUMMER 2024 SAILINGS
For guests looking to relax and unwind in the sun-drenched Caribbean this summer, four ships will offer breathtaking voyages—ranging from weekend getaways to extended sailings—departing from Miami, New York City and Port Canaveral.
Two ships will offer sailings out of PortMiami:
- MSC Seascape will offer 7-night sailings, calling at destinations including San Juan (Puerto Rico), George Town (Cayman Islands), Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), Ocho Rios (Jamaica), Cozumel (Mexico), and Ocean Cay.
- MSC Magnifica offers 3- to 7-night sailings with stops including Key West (Florida), Costa Maya and Cozumel (Mexico), Isla de Roatan (Honduras), Belize City (Belize), Nassau (The Bahamas), and Ocean Cay.
MSC Meraviglia will set sail from New York City with 7-night itineraries including calls at Port Canaveral, Nassau and Ocean Cay.
MSC Seashore will visit the Caribbean’s prized gems with 3- to 7-night sailings from Port Canaveral to destinations including Nassau, Ocean Cay, Costa Maya and Cozumel.
WINTER 2024/2025 SAILINGS:
For sun seekers needing a winter escape, six ships will offer unforgettable itineraries this winter from Miami, New York City, Port Canaveral and Martinique.
Three ships will sail from PortMiami:
- MSC Seascape will offer 7-night cruises departing on Saturdays. Eastern Caribbean sailings include calls in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Ocean Cay. Western Caribbean itineraries include Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Mexico, and Ocean Cay.
- MSC Seaside will offer 7-night cruises departing on Sundays. Eastern Caribbean sailings include calls in The Bahamas and Ocean Cay, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. Western Caribbean options include Mexico, Honduras, Belize, and The Bahamas and Ocean Cay.
- MSC Divina will offer 3- and 4-night itineraries to the Bahamas with visits to Nassau and Ocean Cay. The ship’s 10-night itineraries include Aruba, Curaçao and Dominican Republic.
MSC Meraviglia will sail from New York City with 7-night itineraries including visits to Port Canaveral, Nassau and Ocean Cay. The ship will also offer 10- to 11-night itineraries including stops in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and St. Maarten.
From Port Canaveral, MSC Seashore will offer 3- to 7-night itineraries including calls at Costa Maya, Cozumel, Ocean Cay and Nassau.
MSC Virtuosa will offer 7-night sailings from Fort de France (Martinique) to destinations including Philipsburg (St. Maarten), St. John’s (Antigua), Pointe-a-Pitre (Guadeloupe), and Bridgetown (Barbados).
OCEAN CAY MSC MARINE RESERVE
All four ships sailing the Caribbean this summer and five of the ships sailing the region this winter will visit Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC Cruises’ stunning private island located in The Bahamas which is dedicated to the restoration of marine resources and the ongoing conservation of marine life.
With more than two miles of pristine white sand across eight world class beaches, the tropical paradise invites guests to discover the natural beauty and vibrant spirit of the Bahamas. The island features plenty of areas to soak up the sun and enjoy endless activities while surrounded by sweeping vistas of crystal blue waters. Ocean Cay is also home to the MSC Foundation’s Super Coral Program, which aims to restore nearby coral reefs and contribute to conservation knowledge and initiatives worldwide.
Over the next 12 months, MSC Cruises will make enhancements to Ocean Cay’s guest amenities and experiences to support the cruise line’s future growth. The new enhancements will include expanded excursion centers to support water activities and island tours, and additional food and beverage facilities including a second food hall and larger bars. Additionally, guests can expect enhanced swimming areas, including a new kids lagoon alongside improvements to the popular main lagoon. MSC Yacht Club guests can look forward to an expanded Ocean House bar and restaurant.
MSC YACHT CLUB
Guests looking for the ultimate seamless luxury cruise experience will appreciate the MSC Yacht Club being available on most ships sailing the Caribbean for the upcoming summer and winter seasons. The “ship within a ship” concept provides an exclusive vacation sanctuary on board with a host of privileges and personalized services tailored to each individual guest’s needs. COMING SOON… BRAND NEW SHIP: MSC WORLD AMERICA
Looking further ahead, MSC World America, MSC Cruises’ newest U.S. flagship, will usher in a new world of cruising to American shores when she enters service in April 2025. During her inaugural summer season, she will sail from MSC Cruises’ new terminal at PortMiami, offering alternating 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries with stops at Puerto Plata, San Juan, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Isla de Roatan and Ocean Cay.
MSC World America is the second of the line’s groundbreaking World Class ships and is tailored specifically to North America, with exciting new venues and concepts that seamlessly blend European design with American comfort.
The new ship will feature seven distinct districts, each with its own atmosphere, facilities and experiences, allowing guests of all ages to choose their own vacation adventure and get the most out of their time on board. Guests will also have a first look at the state-of-the-art Cliffhanger, the only over-water swing ride at sea, which will debut exclusively aboard MSC World America.
