Princess Cruises Reschedules “Love Boat” Cruise

Princess Cruise Line sent out emails on January 27th informing customers that had booked the “Love Boat” Cruise that was to set sail on February 26, 2022 has been rescheduled to October 22, 2022. The cruise was to be on the Majestic Princess and was set to have the cast of the Love Boat with many Love Boat themed activities and it was all set to be in remembrance of Gavin MacLeod “Captain Stubing”.

Per the email, there is an unexpected scheduling conflict with some of the cast members so they are no longer able to provide the programming they had originally planned.

The new “Love Boat themed cruise will take place on the Discovery Princess, Princess Cruise Line’s newest ship and is still following the same 7-day Mexican Riviera itinerary sailing roundtrip from Los Angeles.

People that have booked this cruise have two options. One is to transfer their booking to the new cruise in October and Princess will do it’s best to keep an equivalent stateroom category. The second option is to request a refund which will go back to the original method of payment with no cancellation fees.

Editor’s Note: This cruise was booked by Mrs. 7 Seas and myself and we personally received the rescheduling email. At this point in time we haven’t decided which option we are going to take, but we are leaning towards going on the February cruise and enjoying a relaxing cruise.

    1. According to the last notification that Mrs. 7 Seas and I received, the cast members that were originally scheduled for the February cruise are scheduled for the October sailing. As with all sailings, this could change depending on Covid and how the cruise industry as a whole is performing and each cast members personal comfort level with being on a cruise ship while Covid is still showing up on ships.

As of now, we still plan on going as well. Maybe we’ll see you there!
