Mrs. 7 Seas and I are on the Majestic Princess on the “Not Love Boat” cruise of the Mexican Riviera. With the delivery of the Princess Patter on March 2nd was a statement from Princess regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It states:
“Dear Princess Guest:
I hope you are enjoying your time on board. It is our pleasure to host you.
All of us at Princess are proud of the diversity and inclusiveness of our team, who hail from dozens of countries around the globe. Our thoughts right now are with our Ukranian and Russian team members as we know they are concerned about events unfolding in their homelands and the impact on their friends, families and loved ones.
Please know that we are doing everything possible to support these team members affected by recent events by offering aid as needed, including internet vouchers, counseling through our company assistance programs, scheduling accommodations, and alternative payroll solutions if they are unable to access their bank accounts.
It is gratifying that our shipboard teams come together and demonstrate compassion and support for their fellow colleagues during difficult times. And we are always heartened by the additional expressions of care ande sympathy offered by our guests as well.
The Princess family offers our continued thoughts and prayers and we appreciate you joining us in showing your support for those team members impacted by recent events.“
This statement was signed by John Padgett, the President of Princess Cruises and has been included below
Editor Note: As can be seen by the banner of 7SeasCruising, we support the Ukranians in their fight and hope this struggle will end quickly and peacefully.
