Sun Princess Delayed at Sea in Her First Transatlantic Crossing

Mrs. 7Seas and I are currently aboard the amazing Sun Princess on her inaugural Transatlantic cruise. While most of the cruise has been uneventful, we have just been notified that we are unable to dock in Port Everglades tonight (October 8th), as originally scheduled due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Milton. A few hours ago, a handful of passengers were removed from the ship. One by helicopter and 2 by a Coast Guard ship for medical reasons. The rest of us are sailing around Florida and the Bahamas until Friday, October 11th. At least, that’s the plan so far as it’s been communicated to the passengers.

Princess Cruises is taking very good care of us. There’s no shortage of food or fun things to do. There are many onboard that are from Florida and can’t get to their homes, family or friends. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. I will update this story as more info is released. I have posted scans of a FAQ that was sent out to all of us onboard as well as some pictures of the Miami coastline (we were so close!) and the evacuations.
